CHAPEL
One of the ways we nurture our students spiritually is through weekly chapel services. The K4 through 5th grade classes meet each Wednesday for a time of pledges, singing, and preaching. Several children have trusted Christ as their Savior during this weekly chapel time. The 6th through 12th grade classes meet on Wednesday in the Main Auditorium. These students are always challenged by great preaching from Pastor Powell, Bro. Chance Howard, local pastors, local youth pastors, and the pastoral staff from Faith Church. Chapel is one of most influential times during the school week at Faith Christian Academy.

SERVICE
One of the most important elements to Christian education is the developing of various biblical character traits such as servanthood. The Junior High and High School at FCA has one central GOAL. This goal is to expose student’s Globally to brothers and sisters in Christ who are reaching lost souls, as mandated in the New Testament’s Great Commission. In addition to sharing in these worldwide missions, the program provides Outreach opportunities for students to minister both spiritually and physically to our “neighbors” in Eastern North Carolina, as demonstrated by Jesus and His disciples. To promote school spirit, class unity, and positive, clean fun, numerous Activities throughout the school year are planned. To allow our students to use their God given talents for His glory, Leadership options will be presented so students can excel in their service at FCA.
LIBRARY
The library at Faith Christian Academy is safe place for minds of all ages to explore and expand while fostering a profound appreciation for reading and learning. Bookshelves are filled with classic literature, such as Don Quixote and Gulliver’s Travels, alongside well-loved Christian fiction and biographies. Younger students are engaged in the vast collection of books like Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, and American Adventure. The Reference Room contains a wide array of encyclopedias, including the Britannica, as well as magazines, dictionaries, books about history and theology–even yearbooks from years gone by!
SCHOOL RETREATS & FIELD TRIPS
Each September, Junior High and High School students attend a school retreat. The 6th through 8th grade classes experience a one day outing for the purpose of team building and leadership to start each school year. The 9th through 12th grade classes go to the Anchorage Camp in Lake Waccamaw, NC to experience a three day retreat. These school retreats are a great way for friendships to develop and classmates to bond as they spend time away from school while under the influence of good, wholesome preaching and fun‐filled activities. Long lasting, spiritual decisions are often made at these special retreats and events.
Throughout the school year, all students of FCA will embark on a field trip! Field trips are not just a break from the classroom routine – they are an essential part of a well-rounded education. By stepping outside the four walls, students gain firsthand experiences that textbooks and lectures cannot quite capture. Field trips make learning come alive, sparking curiosity and solidifying concepts in a way that sticks. They also provide access to things schools might not have, like historical artifacts or specialized equipment. The benefits go beyond academics – field trips build social skills as students navigate new environments together, and they foster a sense of wonder and appreciation for the world beyond the classroom.
LUNCH PROGRAM
Filling hungry bellies and fostering a sense of community, the school cafeteria at Faith Christian Academy is a vital hub during the day. Lunchtime becomes more than just a meal; it is a chance to socialize with friends, unwind from classes, and recharge for a productive learning experience. Bring a meal from home to be warmed in one of the many microwaves, or purchase a meal through the Family Portal. Snacks, candy, drinks, and ice cream can also be purchased from the cafeteria.
extended care
Hectic work schedules do not always coincide with school hours. That’s why at Faith Christian Academy we offer extended care for students who need to arrive early or stay late.
Morning care begins at 6:30 AM and ends at 7:30 AM. Students are dismissed to their classroom at 7:30 AM. Students who arrive during morning care hours will be charged the daily rate.
Afternoon care begins at 3:00 PM and ends at 6:00 PM. Students who are not picked up soon after school dismisses will be sent to aftercare and charged the daily rate.
If students are not picked up by 6:00 pm, a late fee of $1 per minute for each student is due upon the discretion of the extended care teacher. The late fee is payable to whomever is the extended care teacher at the time the student is picked up. Please call as soon as possible in the event of any emergency or delay!
Students are welcome to bring snacks! The teacher will instruct students when it is appropriate to eat their snack. Eating a snack during morning care may pose a bit of a challenge depending on time. So, we recommend students eat breakfast before coming to school!
No extended care will be provided when the school is closed. FCA is closed on all holidays, scheduled days off, and breaks the school observes. There will be no extended care on early dismissal days. If FCA is closed for any reason, no extended care will be provided.
