Our history
Faith Christian Academy was founded in January 1967 by Reverend Frank Davenport and members of Faith Free Will Baptist Church. They recognized a need for a Christian school to help parents educate their children in a goldy environment.
Throughout the years, FCA has undergone several building projects and renovations. The academy now resides on twenty-five acres of land alongside FFWBC. It is thanks to parents and guardians like you, who value a Christian education, that FCA continues to serve Goldsboro, NC and the surround areas.
our purpose
Faith Christian Academy helps Christian parents raise their children according to the Bible. We follow the principle in Proverbs 22:6, which says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Our goal is to graduate young people who are smart, love their country, care about others, have good manners, and, most importantly, know the Bible well. We want then to live their lives based on what the Bible teaches.
our philosophy
Faith Christian Academy believes that Christian education is a divine command, as outlined in Matthew 28:18-20. Guided by verses like Proverbs 19:27, Deuteronomy 6:6-9, and Colossians 2:8, we strive to create an environment that fosters biblical principles and also aligns with parental guidance. We support parents and guardians who instill in their children virtues such as truthfulness, purity, honesty, patriotism, faithfulness, and respect for high standards. Every subject taught is through the lens of biblical truth. We uphold God’s Word as the ultimate authority. As a ministry and an integral part of FFWBC, our academy exists because of our church and operates in harmony with other church ministries, while adhering to a traditional educational philosophy.
our administration
Faith Christian Academy’s chief administrator is the Pastor of FFWBC. As the shepherd of the academy, the Pastor oversees the school’s direction and guidance. The School Advisory Board, composed of FFWBC’s Deacon Board, advises the Pastor. Deacons, nominated by the church, serve alongside the Pastor to guide the academy. The Head of School, appointed by the Pastor and SAB, manages the school’s operations. Elementary, middle school, and high school administrators handle daily affairs.
